This Week in the Daily Iowan: The Case of the Racist Poll

Update 2: Now the story of this post and my subsequent hiring at the DI has been picked up by journalism blogger Jim Romenesko. (Note: Zachery Tilley is close enough.)

Update: This post has been garnering quite a lot of attention over the last few days. You can read up on its aftermath at DI Editor Adam B Sullivan’s blog, College Media Matters, and Charles Apple’s blog at the American Copy Editors Society.

Welcome to the first edition of “This Week in the Daily Iowan” where we here at PTB rifle through a week’s worth of “Eastern Iowa’s Largest Newspaper” and share all of the most memorable moments with you.

This week, a swimming coach gets his quote flipped, we find out how many midterms a few students have next week, and a poll wonders how well we segregate our campus.

If you see anything memorable in the Daily Iowan, share them with us! Tweet a picture to @PTBat9 or email your find to permissiontoboogie@gmail.com.

So it was a swimming coach that had his quote flipped? I see a tennis coach who had his quote flipped.
