About the Show

Permission to Boogie is a radio show featuring current events talk and music, hosted by University of Iowa students Zach Tilly and Skaaren Cossé on KRUI 89.7. The program airs Sunday nights at 9pm.

PTB was founded in August 2011, and aired until December in The Lab at KRUI, before its move to 89.7 in January of 2012.

In September 2011, PTB launched its blog, permissiontoboogie.com, which is updated throughout the week with a focus on politics and alternative music.

Meet the Staff

Zach Tilly is a junior at the University of Iowa studying Journalism and Political Science and the Assistant General Manager at KRUI. He’s an opinions reporter for The Daily Iowan and a contributor to the Washington Post‘s student-run election blog The 12.

Skaaren Cossé is a junior at the University studying Finance and International Studies and the Administrative Director at KRUI. He does lots of stuff too, which he can tell you about when he updates his page.
