What Pete Hoekstra’s doing is a classic bit of riling up the “silent majority” by preying on the fears of his constituency.

Hoekstra’s ad campaign is all about fear-mongering. He’s crafted an appeal to the lowest common denominator of ignorance and intolerance meant to distract from his own crappiness as a candidate by creating a boogieman out of Debbie Stabenow and the Chinese women who love her.
